1. About TEKlife

TEKlife is a residential wellness certification standard published and operated by TEKlife Technology Consultancy, C101 - The Opus Tower, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE ("TEKlife", "we", "us"). By using this website (teklife.org) or engaging our certification services, you agree to these terms.

2. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes. You may access and read the content freely. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the certification framework criteria, documentation, or brand materials without our written consent.

3. Certification Services

TEKlife certification is a voluntary, standards-based assessment process. The specific terms of any certification engagement — including scope, fees, assessment timelines, and rights to use the TEKlife Certified mark — are governed by a separate written agreement between TEKlife and the certifying party.

These website terms do not create any entitlement to certification, any licence to use the TEKlife Certified mark, or any obligation on TEKlife to certify any particular property.

4. No Warranty on Certification Criteria

The TEKlife certification framework and criteria are published in good faith based on available building science research relevant to residential wellness in hot climates. TEKlife makes no warranty that compliance with the framework guarantees specific health outcomes for any individual occupant. Individual health is affected by many factors beyond the scope of building certification.

The framework is periodically updated. Published criteria reflect the version in force at the time of certification. TEKlife reserves the right to update criteria, but will not retroactively invalidate existing certifications where criteria changes are not material to the certified property's compliance.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under UAE law, TEKlife shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of this website or reliance on information published on it. This includes, without limitation, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or decisions made on the basis of our published criteria or certification outcomes.

Our maximum liability for direct loss in connection with any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you to TEKlife in the twelve months preceding the claim.

6. Intellectual Property

The TEKlife name, logo, "TEKlife Certified" mark, the five-pillar framework structure, certification criteria documentation, and all website content are the intellectual property of TEKlife Technology Consultancy. All rights reserved.

Certified properties are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to display the TEKlife Certified mark in connection with the specific certified property, subject to the terms of their certification agreement and continued validity of their certification.

7. Links to Third-Party Sites

This website may contain links to external sites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites. Links are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE, unless both parties agree to an alternative dispute resolution mechanism.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website or our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
